Our mission
at VIVA Las Weddings is to provide clients with alternative choices for weddings that are warm, memorable, unique, and practical, in an affordable, all-inclusive, pre-packaged format.
 
Payment Terms and Conditions:
All prices are in Canadian dollars.  If paying by credit card, your credit card provider will apply the currency exchange on your credit card statement.
A $2,000 CAD deposit is required to guarantee our services except for wedding packages that cost less than $3,000 where a 50% deposit will be required to guarantee rates, dates, and services.
Payment in full must be received 30 days prior to your event.
Final guest numbers must be confirmed 30 days prior to your wedding date. Guest numbers can be increased after this time but not decreased.
Cancellations may be phoned in however, must also be followed by a signed cancellation authorization which will be sent to you for your signature and return.
35% of the contract amount is non-refundable.
Contract amount completely non-refundable if cancelled within 30 days of wedding/event.
Special requests require advance notice.  Change/revision fees may apply.
If you are paying by cheque, please provide Driver’s License # and date of birth.
Fee for returned NSF cheques is $42.50 CAD.
All prices are subject to the 12% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).

Bio: 

My name is Christine Rock and I'm the Principal Event Planner for VIVA Las Weddings.  I began planning and coordinating special events 15 years ago and launched the opening of VIVA Las Weddings in 2003 as a full-time professional specializing in wedding events.  My past experience includes event coordination for community festivals for 20,000 to 40,000 visitors as well as large weddings and corporate events so rest assured, your special day is in very capable and experienced hands.  Since 2003, I've had the pleasure of assisting dozens of couples in realizing their wedding day vision and it's been a very rewarding experience - one that I continue to enjoy very much.  No matter what the logistics are, how many guests attend,  orientation, and/or culture, you can count on your special event being handled with professionalism, expertise, efficiency, and enthusiasm.

All packages serve as guidelines and can be customized to suit - services can be added, deducted, or substituted and tailored to meet your specific needs.  In most cases, special requests can be accommodated with advance notice.
The Marriage License ($100 fee) and Marriage Commissioner services are included in wedding package prices.  I'll meet with you in Vancouver to obtain your Marriage License - this always ensures an in-person meeting prior to your wedding.  In addition to your personal information and picture identification, you'll need to know the full names (including maiden names for Mothers) and birthplaces of both sets of parents.
 
Your Marriage Certificate (issued and certified by British Columbia Vital Statistics) in long format will be mailed directly to your residence within 6 weeks of your wedding event at no extra cost.
Final balances are due 30 days prior to your wedding event.
Tax Rebate Program for Non-Residents Visiting Canada:

The Canadian government has implemented a HST rebate program for non-residents who purchase tour packages while visiting Canada.  

Our wedding packages that include at least one night accommodation and one service qualify for what the Canadian government calls a "tour package".  Please click here for more information.
